Barbera d’Alba is a red wine designed for early consumption, though it also shows potential for moderate aging, during which it refines and develops an elegant profile uncommon for this varietal. It features a garnet red color and a taste profile that is dry with a good structure, marked by softness, freshness, harmony, and persistence. The bouquet is intense, fine, and complex, highlighting ripe fruity notes of blackberry and cherry. Produced in the Treiso area, from Barbera grapes grown on bluish marl and clay soils with a south-east exposure, this wine undergoes red vinification and ferments in steel tanks. It pairs well with first courses that feature meat sauces and cheese, and is best served at a temperature of 18°C (64 °F). The alcohol content is approximately 12.5% vol.
